In School Train the Trainer Course

The aim of this training is to equip school staff with the tools and strategies required to lead lasting and meaningful change within their school and organisation, for the safe management of disruptive situations.

This is a methodology and a philosophy to protect your staff and pupils. The outlined principles will help your staff understand the tools and strategies needed to manage more effective verbal and physical interventions.

Topics Covered

  • The law and regulations that may require you to carry a physical intervention under the duty of care.
  • Adverse childhood experiences and their connection to their ability to self-regulate.
  • Non-escalation and de-escalation strategies.
  • Non-harmful methods of control and containment.
  • Advanced holds including effective interventions.
  • Verbal influencing matrix including point of impact interventions.
  • Creating change and cultivating a compassionate whole school culture.
